Our Sustainability Mission
50% Emission Reduction by 2030,
Net Zero by 2050
We recognise the importance of making a full and lasting commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions from our activities. In line with Science Based Targets and the ambitions set out by the UNFCCC, we are committed to achieving Net Zero no later than 2050 and targeting a 50% reduction in gross emissions by 2030.
To track our progress, we report our total greenhouse gas emissions annually and set realistic short and long-term targets designed to achieve our Net Zero commitments.
We recognise that our business activities have an environmental impact and are committed to complying with all relevant environmental legislation, regulations and requirements while operating in a socially responsible manner.
Kubus Carbon Reduction Plan
To meet these Science Based Targets, Kubus will develop the following initiatives:
- Sustainability supply chain review
- Renewable energy initiatives
- Sustainable business travel policy
- Lower-emission company vehicle programme
- Reduced printing and paperless warehouse processes
- Office efficiency improvements
- Employee engagement and Net Zero awareness
- Emissions offsetting review

2023
C02 Emissions Report
Created and began monitoring our carbon emissions.
Full Environmental Policy
Created a full environmental policy to ensure the company’s commitment beyond legal and regulatory requirements.
Offsetting Emissions Created by Business Travel
Began offsetting emissions created by business travel with a new travel system that involves putting funds towards sustainability projects per trip taken.
Cisco Sustainability Specialisation
Achieved the Environmental Sustainability Specialisation through the Cisco Partner Program.
2022
DHL GoGreen
Introduced carbon neutral shipping with DHL via their ‘GoGreen’ initiative, which covers 95% of our shipping, helping to reduce emissions, waste and other environmental related impacts throughout the supply chain.
Electric Vehicle Scheme
Introduced an electric vehicle scheme, allowing our people to obtain an electric car through salary sacrifice, with electric charging points on site at the Kubus office in Kemble.
Sustainability Project Team
Established an internal team focused on:
- Preparing our CSR policy and Carbon Reduction Plan
- Signing up to appropriate UN Sustainable Development Goals
- Undertaking a carbon audit to establish benchmark carbon emissions
Energy Efficient Lightbulbs
Initiated the phased replacement of lighting with energy efficient bulbs.
2021
Hybrid Working Policy
Launched a fully supported hybrid working policy for all non-warehouse staff to reduce emissions generated through commuting.
Reduced Printing
Targeted a company wide reduction in printing, including the move from manual to paperless Credit/Accounts Payable functions.
