Author: Andy Brown, CRO – Having spent 25 years within the managed IT, professional services and increasingly “Everything As A Service” world, in a number of senior sales leadership, relationship management and broad operations roles for the world’s leading manufacturer and VAR’s, his breadth of industry experience and knowledge is vast.
Last week I spent four days in Barcelona at the annual HPE Discover event with CEO Jeremy Keefe, Nick Westall (CTO) and Chris Linzell (Strategic Partner Manager). We had the pleasure of coming together with teams from across the industry and hearing from the leaders across the organisation on the future of HPE.
“It is now IMPOSSIBLE to be a networking company without also being a cyber security company.” – a standout quote from this year’s HPE Discover.
An organisation’s networking foundation is now both their largest attack surface and most powerful defence opportunity in one. From the evolution of SASE technologies to the cross-developing of analysts, networking and cybersecurity have now combined to become an operational necessity.

Networking was once only the plumbing and has since been elevated to the strategic foundation of any organisation. When designed correctly, the networking foundation doesn’t just connect users, it actively protects them. Networking determines whether your business will adopt AI, drive productivity and enhance user experience and none of this is possible without the best in-class networking foundation.
As the pace of technology continues to accelerate, it is important to invest in solutions that don’t just solve today’s problems but also support tomorrow’s business needs. This focus on pace, adaptability and future-readiness resonates with the Kubus Purpose as we don’t just simply deploy technology. We continue to help our customers stay ahead of the competition as their business requirements evolve.
While HPE continues to turn its Juniper acquisition into tangible customer value, the organisation has introduced new high-performance network hardware designed specifically for AI and high-bandwidth workloads:
QFX5250 Data Centre Switch
Built on Broadcom Tomahawk 6 silicon, featuring liquid cooling and an Ultra Ethernet Transport-ready design, this platform is purpose-built for AI training and high-performance data centre environments.
MX301 Multi-Service Edge Router
A compact 1RU platform delivering up to 1.6 Tbps and 400G connectivity, ideal for edge, metro, enterprise, and AI inference use cases.
These platforms underline a key reality: AI isn’t just a software challenge — it’s a networking challenge. We believe that networking is where performance, security and user experience converge, and we see upcoming technological innovations as a reflection of this. As networks become more intelligent and more tightly integrated with security, strong architectural decisions for your business are key.
Networking is now the strategic core to any business and getting it right is no longer optional. At Kubus, we make the complex simple for our customers by designing foundations that not only work today but continue to evolve, adapt and protect your organisation long into the future.
