HPE Discover Las Vegas 2026: Networking innovation and AI lead the way

Las Vegas has once again become the centre of the technology world as HPE Discover 2026 brings together customers, partners and industry leaders to showcase what's next.

This week, our CEO Jeremy Keefe, CRO Andy Brown and Strategic Partner Manager Chris Linzell, landed in Las Vegas for the annual HPE Discover. From showcasing the latest technologies to hearing about what is next for the technology industry, they share some of the highlights from an epic week!

Kicking off earlier in the week, the day was packed with major announcements across two standout keynote sessions, with HPE Networking taking centre stage in the morning before the CTO keynote shifted focus to Agentic AI and hybrid cloud innovation.

HPE Networking takes centre stage

Antonio Neri’s keynote placed networking firmly at the heart of HPE’s AI-first strategy. The message was clear: the future of enterprise networking is AI-native, autonomous and self-driving.

A major focus was the continued integration of HPE Juniper Networking switches and routers into the wider HPE data centre portfolio, creating a more unified infrastructure designed to support modern AI workloads.

The concept of the Self-Driving Network featured throughout the keynote, demonstrating how automation, AI and intelligent operations are transforming the way organisations manage their networks.

Mist continues to lead AI-native networking

During the HPE Networking keynote, EVP, President and GM, HPE Networking Rami Rahim, reinforced that the Self-Driving Network isn’t a future vision, it’s already here today through HPE Mist.

Several exciting announcements highlighted how HPE is continuing to unify its networking platforms:

  • Marvis Actions is now being integrated into HPE Aruba Central, providing another excellent example of HPE’s “develop once, deploy twice” strategy. Thanks to its microservices architecture, innovations developed for Mist can now be shared across Aruba Central, giving customers faster access to new capabilities.
  • Mist will now manage HPE Aruba CX switches, bringing AI-native operations to even more of the campus network.
  • Marvis is expanding beyond campus and branch networking to support operations across data centre environments and routing, extending AI-assisted troubleshooting throughout the entire network lifecycle.

A unified SASE future

One of the most anticipated announcements was the first public look at SASE Orchestrator.

This new cloud management platform will unify SD-WAN and Security Service Edge (SSE) into a single management console, simplifying operations while delivering a more consistent security experience. The solution is expected to become available later this year.

AI-native routing arrives

As AI adoption accelerates, organisations are looking for greater control over how AI applications are used across their networks.

HPE introduced AI-Native Routing, allowing administrators to define highly granular policies governing access to AI platforms such as (but not limited to) ChatGPT and Claude. These intelligent policies are then enforced directly by Juniper routers, providing organisations with improved governance, security and visibility.

Agentic AI headlines the CTO keynote

The momentum continued during the CTO keynote, where Fidelma Russo outlined HPE’s vision for helping customers navigate their Agentic AI journey.

The keynote focused on giving organisations the infrastructure, software and operational tools needed to deploy AI confidently while maintaining flexibility and control.

HPE Morpheus VM Essentials 9.0

The latest release introduces stretch cluster support, one of the most requested capabilities from customers looking to modernise their virtualisation environments while improving resilience.

Removing the cost barrier to VMware migration

Recognising the challenges many organisations face following VMware’s licensing changes, HPE announced that new HPE Morpheus VM Essentials customers will receive their first year’s subscription free.

This helps eliminate the “double bubble” subscription costs that many organisations experience when transitioning away from VMware.

$1 Zerto migration offer

To further support migration projects, HPE announced an attractive offer allowing customers to receive 12 months of Zerto for just $1 when adopting HPE Morpheus VM Essentials.

This provides organisations with access to one of the industry’s leading Continuous Data Protection solutions while simplifying migration planning and reducing risk.

Helping customers reduce VMware costs

One message came through loud and clear throughout the keynote: HPE is doubling down on helping organisations reduce their VMware costs.

With Morpheus VM Essentials, migration incentives and integrated data protection, HPE believes customers can save up to 90% on VMware renewal costs, providing a compelling alternative for businesses looking to modernise without increasing operational expenditure.

Final thoughts

This year it has been clear that HPE’s strategy extends far beyond individual products. The announcements showcased a clear vision centred on AI-native operations, autonomous networking and giving customers practical alternatives for modernising both infrastructure and virtualisation.

From the evolution of the Self-Driving Network with Mist and Aruba Central to Agentic AI, Morpheus VM Essentials and VMware migration incentives, HPE continues to invest in helping organisations simplify operations while preparing for an AI-driven future.
