Workplace AV, digital signage and analytics solutions enable organisations to improve collaboration, streamline communication and gain greater visibility of how their spaces are used, combining intuitive meeting room technology, centralised content management and real-time performance insights to create more efficient, connected environments.
Last week, the Kubus team attended Networkshop 2026, one of the UK’s leading events for networking, cybersecurity and digital infrastructure professionals across the education and research sectors.
Throughout the event, we had the opportunity to engage with organisations from across higher and further education, as well as the wider research community. While each institution has its own unique requirements, several common themes emerged from our conversations, including:
Managing increasingly complex network environments
Strengthening cybersecurity without adding operational burden
Improving visibility across distributed infrastructure
Supporting hybrid learning and working environments
Delivering more with constrained budgets and resources
These discussions highlighted the continued pressure on IT teams to balance innovation, security and operational efficiency while ensuring a reliable experience for students, staff and researchers.

One of the most common topics discussed at Networkshop was the need for greater visibility and control across network infrastructure.
As networks continue to expand and support more connected devices, cloud applications and digital services, organisations are looking for ways to reduce complexity and gain actionable insights into performance, security and user experience.
Automation also featured heavily in conversations, with many institutions exploring how they can reduce manual processes, accelerate troubleshooting and free up valuable resources to focus on strategic initiatives.
Cybersecurity remains a key priority across the sector, particularly as institutions face increasingly sophisticated threats while supporting open and collaborative environments.
The importance of integrated solutions that provide both visibility and protection was a recurring theme throughout the event.
One of the greatest strengths of Networkshop continues to be the opportunity for professionals to learn from one another.
Whether discussing network modernisation projects, cybersecurity strategies or operational challenges, attendees openly shared insights, successes and lessons learned. These conversations provide invaluable perspectives that help organisations make more informed decisions and accelerate their own digital transformation journeys.
For the Kubus team, these discussions reinforced the importance of collaboration and the value of bringing together professionals facing similar challenges.
We would like to thank everyone who took the time to visit the Kubus stand and speak with our team during Networkshop 2026.
The conversations we had throughout the event were insightful, engaging and a strong reminder of the innovation taking place across the education and research community.
If we didn’t have the opportunity to connect during the event, or if you’d like to continue the conversation, we’d be delighted to discuss how Kubus can help your organisation improve visibility, strengthen security and simplify the management of increasingly complex IT environments.
