On Tuesday 9th June, we had the pleasure of hosting an exclusive roundtable dinner at Los Mochis, London, in partnership with Verkada, bringing together industry professionals for an evening of insight, discussion and collaboration.
Focused on “The Future of Physical Security”, the event created a space for open, honest conversations around how organisations are evolving their approach to security in an increasingly digital and connected world.
The evening brought together senior leaders and decision-makers from across industries, each bringing their own perspectives and experiences. This diversity rich discussion around the key challenges organisations is currently facing, included:
The conversations were centred around the concept of security, with attendees sharing a broad spectrum of real-world applications. This ranged from an organisation who currently use physical security to check for damage daily across their fleet of delivery vehicles. Through to a high-end hotel chain, and a management organisation of premium properties including The Ritz.
For each of the organisations who came, the challenges are uniquely complex. They must balance the expectations of high-net-worth clients with the realities of managing public-facing spaces, optimising space utilisation, mitigating theft, and operating within aged or historic premises.
These factors naturally lend themselves to working with a partner that can simplify complexity. Capabilities such as cabling, installation, and network-wide configuration, alongside AI-driven insights and ongoing managed services, were highlighted as critical. Managed services emerged as a key requirement, with all parties emphasising its importance in maintaining efficient, resilient operations.
Attendees also shared their experiences more broadly, creating a valuable opportunity to learn from peers navigating similar challenges.
Together with Verkada, we explored how cloud-based solutions and smart infrastructure are shaping the future of physical security. Conversations highlighted the move away from traditional, on-premises systems towards more scalable, flexible and data-driven solutions.
Our hosts, Paul Bonner, Chief Strategy Officer at Kubus Group, Andy Brown, Chief Revenue Officer at Kubus Group, and Andrew Price, Enterprise Account Executive at Verkada guided the discussion, sharing practical insights on how organisations can:
A key highlight of the evening was the collaborative nature of the discussion. The roundtable format encouraged attendees to exchange ideas openly, discuss their challenges and explore practical solutions together.
Hearing directly from peers about what has worked and what hasn’t, provided valuable takeaways that attendees can apply within their own organisations.
Beyond discussing challenges, the session focused on actionable outcomes. Attendees left with clear, practical ideas on how to evolve their approach to physical security, improve operations, and embrace future-ready solutions.
We’d like to thank everyone who joined us for making the evening such a success, and to Verkada for partnering with us on such an important topic.
